I copied 2 post from whempys for you guys... Because this one will probably be worth it to come....

POST 1
Confirm here (by clicking the confirm link above) for the May 23rd LAN!
Downstairs seating will be OPEN since it is getting warmer out. PLEASE encourage friends or even strangers to go, we want to fill in as much seating as possible! Make sure to confirm, so we can get a running number for supplies like food and Bawls.

Prizes for the May 23-24th LAN...

We want to announce that we will be giving away a Razer Lycosa Keyboard and a Logitech G5 v2 Mouse!

FOOD DRIVE DETAILS!!!

We are proud to announce the we are sponsoring a food drive for the Mid Ohio Food bank! Please support your local community by donating your non perishable (I.E. Canned) food at the May LAN! To sweetin the deal, we are offering discounts and more for those who spread the love!

5 can minimum, gives you a blue raffle ticket and 55¢ in change for the pop machine.
10 cans nets you 2 raffle tickets and a bawls.
15 cans nets you 3 raffle tickets and $5 bucks off admission
20cans = 4 tickets, 5 bucks off
25 cans = 5 tickets, 5 bucks off, and a bawls.
Every 5 cans over the 25 gets you another raffle ticket!
We will be doing a seperate raffle for the food drive. Details on that to come soon. For more information check our forums.

I'm pleased to announce that through generous donations from our sponsors and from a few dips into the party coffers, the May LAN will have one of the largest raffle pools in recent Whempy's history!

There is an extremely solid chance that everyone will be able to walk out with something next weekend!

So, here's the PRIZE PILE:

FOOD DRIVE PRIZES
The top Food Drive donor (in terms of items donated) will receive an eDimensional AudioFX Pro 5.1 Headset!

All other donors will be entered into a raffle for a 4GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2 RAM kit generously donated by our friends at Crucial Memory!

DOOR PRIZE RAFFLE
As per usual, all players participating in the LAN will receive one ticket to the door prize raffle for any number of these items:

So remember, fellow Whempy's attendees, bring in those cans for a good cause and remember to hang on to your raffle tickets!

SO the reason I think it is worth it. One, you guys haven't been to whempys in forever(some like Dana never) so you guys are "new" so it is free for you... plus if you take the $5.00 out of the $15.00 it would have cost you can get like can food from aldis you can get in on all the prizes and raffle without having to pay to get in. Plus it is memoral day weekend and unless you have plans it is a perfect time for killing.

and L4D has been a big free time game at the LAN and people want to play it.

I need to look up their Dota rules...I'd only play if I get to pick my character.

Yes, Saturday May 23rd... doors open at noon but the frist tourney doesn't start until 3pm... so if we get there early we can see if we can get other to join some L4D action or something.

once your name is blue on the whempys forum (all of yours are now, I checked).

you need to goto the confirmation post and click downstair link to be confirmed for the LAN weather you actually come or not you need to confirm.
