So I got to thinking, what with my schnazzy new monitor and my obscenely powerful gaming system...I need a cool windows theme.

I haven't used a theme in years, since the early xp ones totally screwed up my machine, but I'm willing to give it another try now.

I really like the one Jared and Dana use...what is it, and does it have color options?

http://www.alienware.com/community/alienguise/theme-manager.aspx

Those are the ones I've used for the last few years... they have a red/black theme called Darkstar that I used on KITT, but I don't see it there. Basically you download their AlienGuise theme manager app and then you use it to browse their themes, so it might still be available. They also have matching skins for Windows Media Player... if you're a total plebeian and like using WMP, that is. Smile

There is a new site called HyperDesk which sells themes for $15. I know, it sounds stupid to buy a theme, and I haven't bought any... but they make some FANTASTIC looking themes, and I'm tempted to help out a young start-up in this economy...

Ok, 2 things. Dana is still using winXP... so the alienware stuff isn't going to work for your windows Vista.

I only use 2 programs and the rest is actually just Vista normal.

1) StarDock's ObjectDock, it put the box at the bottom of the screen like a MAC

2) StarDock's LogonStudio Vista this allows you to take any image and make it a custom Logon screen.

Other than those, I have customized Vista to much.

On their website, one of the AlienGuise themes claims to work with Vista but not the other...
