He actually does have quite a few ideas that remind me of FDR and Carter.
Interestingly, I've been somewhat following modern day analysis of FDR's presidency, and more and more historians/economists are starting to say that FDR and the Democratic Congress of the time helped prolong the depression instead of fixing it (credit for which clearly belongs to WW2). |

Appropriately, it would seem.
Now we'll begin taking bets on how long it will take to reach double-digit unemployment...any guesses? |
Well now, if you want to look at a real figure that includes the unemployed who have given up on getting a job and the underemployed who want full time work but can't get it, then I'd say we'll hit that number about a year or so ago. _________________

Well, when you put it that way, our statistics for Unemployment percentages are always going to be a little underrepresented, so you're probably right, Todd.
Doesn't mean that an increase isn't coming, though, and a large one at that. |

Oh without doubt the reported rate is gonna go up, and soon.
Look for increased overseas job outsourcing and domestic cutbacks as the economy continues to get worse.
Sounds like fun to me. _________________
