So Todd and I spent about 4-5 hours Saturday downloading the preorder of Orange Box. The funny part is, we only played TF2 for about 45 minutes. We spent the better part of the next 2 hours going through all the levels & challenges in Peggle Extreme, LAWL! I've already mastered all the challenges and I'm thinking of buying the full version sometime...

OMGOMGOMG!

The new Steam is teh ROXXOR!

It's got a very similar (albeit simpler) stat system to BF2. My TF2 stats will be forever saved! W00t! I hope they can do that with Source and DM as well!

I totally played through Peggle as well. It was pretty okay - standard puzzle game really, but fun. Still waiting on TF2 to finish dl'ing. I like the new group ablility...everyone here needs to join the ZAN group, and all our friends lists! I didn't realize I didn't have Josh added, and I still need Greg, Nick, Dana and Todd...not to mention the Dodds if they get it.

I really hope TF2 runs well on my laptop, so's I can play it all this week at the Motel!

K, got Josh, Jared, Alex, Adam and Spencer.

Anywho, just got to play TF2 for a bit. It's definitely different than any shooter I've played recently. The new cartoonish style is really cool. I need to decrease the UI in the future, because it's a bit irritating, however, the way it keeps track of accomplishments and feats is fantastic.
That's exactly how you make shooters fun over the long haul...add a rewards system that keeps track of progress.

I tried demoman, and it was pretty good. I tried spy, and though I don't quite know how to use all the functions, it freakin' PWNS!

The game may not be for everyone, but we should have a good time at the LAN, at the very least.

My steam ID is commandertracker, of course. I invited a few people to my friends list thus far.

I apparently have to be invited to the HOZ group to join, so hop to!

TF2 is a lot of fun. I'm having the normal problem of jumping into an unfamiliar game and getting owned too quickly to learn it that I've always had with half life games. Seem to be most skilled with the scout thus far. The extra speed seems to be just my style. Engineer is sweet. So is the heavy Very Happy . I think its gonna be a lot of fun.

I will remember to invite people to HOZ tonight. Right now Ryan and I are the only admins in the group.

jsellars@mvnu.edu is the easiest way to find me in steam.

Ya but steam will not let me change it. I was able to change the contact email address, but the account is still that. It sucks, I spent about an hour and falf trying to get them to let me change it but with success.

Whatever email you used to form the account is the one you have until Hell freezes over, unless you are fortunate enough to still have access to that account. For those like Jared and I, who used our MVNC accounts, we're hosed.

At least it still works, eh?

I'm kinda having the same problem. I added Jared to my friends list several times today, and each time Steam reported that his name/email address was successfully added, but never did he show up on my friends list (or invited list for that matter). Everyone else I've got just fine.
