I think Dirty Jobs is on a break while they set up more episodes. For a show that travels that much & depends on viewer input, it's gotta be tough to keep a regular schedule going. Plus, Mike Rowe is doing voiceovers for Deadliest Catch, Ford commercials, most of Discovery's programming, and Ulimate Fighter. Dude is keeping busy!!

Now for the good news!

To the Fans of Jericho:

Wow!

Over the past few weeks you have put forth an impressive and probably unprecedented display of passion in support of a prime time television series. You got our attention; your emails and collective voice have been heard.

As a result, CBS has ordered seven episodes of “Jericho” for mid-season next year. In success, there is the potential for more. But, for there to be more “Jericho,” we will need more viewers.

A loyal and passionate community has clearly formed around the show. But that community needs to grow. It needs to grow on the CBS Television Network, as well as on the many digital platforms where we make the show available.

We will count on you to rally around the show, to recruit new viewers with the same grass-roots energy, intensity and volume you have displayed in recent weeks.

At this time, I cannot tell you the specific date or time period that “Jericho” will return to our schedule. However, in the interim, we are working on several initiatives to help introduce the show to new audiences. This includes re-broadcasting “Jericho” on CBS this summer, streaming episodes and clips from these episodes across the CBS Audience Network (online), releasing the first season DVD on September 25 and continuing the story of Jericho in the digital world until the new episodes return. We will let you know specifics when we have them so you can pass them on.

On behalf of everyone at CBS, thank you for expressing your support of “Jericho” in such an extraordinary manner. Your protest was creative, sustained and very thoughtful and respectful in tone. You made a difference.

Sincerely,

Nina Tassler
President, CBS Entertainment

P.S. Please stop sending us nuts Smile

Wow. This is huge. Only a handful of times has this ever worked. Sadly, shows like Firefly and Crusade didn't get this kind of resurrection (until Serenity, anyway). So it's doubly impressive when the network actually listens. I do think, though, that they realize the fault lies entirely with them for the mid-season "hiatus." The same thing which hurt ratings for Lost and even Heroes. This is pretty much an admission of that guilt (without actually saying it Smile).

Well, the gauntlet has been thrown down -- the President of CBS Entertainment has promised the show is coming back. Now it's up to the fans to spread the word about this intriguing, finely-acted and well-written show.

As angry as I was that Jericho was cancelled in the first place, it is HUGE for a network, especially in this day & age, to listen to the fans like this. There are a hundred show ideas on their desks on any given day, and for one that's been given the axe to get brought back like this is just HUGE. I never expected this to happen... so now my job as a fan is to get as many people as I can to watch the show as it replays over the summer (or watch it online).

So for anyone who hasn't seen it...

GO WATCH JERICHO YUO NOOBS LOL

Yes, everyone should check the CBS schedule, and try to start Jericho from Ep. 1 if you've never watched it before. It's a serial, so you can't come in very well in the middle.

It's very good stuff. Better story than LOST, kind of a Fallout-esque world, and better acting than probably any other show on television.

Well I'll obviously watch. I'm glad that they are giving Jericho another shot...sorta. I'd rather them allow another season, since it was THEIR FAULT that the viewership went down. Stupid clowns.

Oh well, I'll thrid the motion to catch up on this show if ye haven't. Awesome story, great acting. Best realistic show on TV (LOST, Heroes, BSG & the Gate are sci-fi).

Bittorent or just watch them on CBS's site. GO MONKEY TURD POO!
