OK so I mentioned last week that Morgan Alsop (team Trans-Am) is driving the Trans-Am in the REAL Bullrun race, which goes from Montreal to Key West. Jason from Team F-150 is riding with her until her dad Mike can join up. Mike posts on LS1.com, where I go for Firebird stuff. Here are his most recent posts:

So stay tuned and GO TEAM TRANS AM! |

It will be interesting to see her average speed. In the morning the call was 40 minutes on the road and 96 miles travelled. Havent done the math, but I think that is a 130+ average... Funny stuff! Thanks for the prayers and support! Go team Trans Am! |

Interesting. Is the Charger he talks about Mr. Angry?
That's pretty cool that Jason is going along with Morgan...

Hellz Yeah! Mr. Angry returns! GO GO GO! I hope they win since I'm pretty sure the Alsop have won the Spike TV Bullrun Ralley. I wish this one was televised too! A live televised Bullrun would be TIIIIIIGHT! I'm a freak tho. _________________

T-Minus One Day and Counting
So the run up from NYC to Montreal went pretty good. Jason Wallace from Spike TV Team F150 and Rich Bannon from Team Mustang came along for the ride. We cruised up 87 north in the Charger without incident and it ran like the rockstar that it is. The 440 was singing on the outside and on the inside we… well Jason and Rich (I was driving) were watching Burt Reynolds and Dom Deluise in Cannonball Run on the JVC DVD player we have installed in the dash.
All was good until 2 hours in when the thunderstorms came down. For 2 hours we ran through heavy downpours, but again, the Charger just hammered through it… ya’ just got to love old detroit iron.
Then we hit the Canadian border. This was an all around interesting experience. We pulled through the border and customs agents pulled us to the side. At first they asked us all the questions. Where are you going, why are you here, does this thing have a 6 pack in it… what!?!
No joke, the customs agents went nuts over the Charger. I popped the hood and went through everything from the hydroboost system to the accusump we installed. They all loved it. After all the paper work was complete, they gave us back our documents and sent us on our way. Before doing so however; the customs agents did make one small request of us.
Can you do a burnout when you leave? Again, we were like what!?! But they did infact request this and did infact comply with they’re demands, afterall, we are in there country. So we hit the gas and roasted hides into Canada… nice right?

Yup yup. Good stuff. Loved Mike's celebration at the end.
LOVED F-150 making up the Mario's stupid time too. I figured the Alsops won as soon as F-150 was given the 2 hours behind time for one reason. YOU KNOW that if the Mario's won the Bullrun they would have their faces plastered EVERYWHERE....but since they haven't, then they had to have lost. Just they type of sore loser idiots they are.
Great show, I wish they were filming the current Bullrun! _________________

F-150's little jaunt down the dirt road was great! Had they not lost the challenge, they would have won the rally with that stunt easily. When it comes to smarts behind a wheel, I think Jason has it in spades. Maybe next time he does something like this he should take a more maneuverable car. |
