Just some notes and observances for those who share my TV watching interests...which is nearly everyone.
Heroes is now the best show on television. Tonight's episode was excellent, although I would have preferred to see a continuance of last week. I guess I'll get that next Monday, though. This week's was alot of fun.
Jericho is a good, solid show. Interestingly, I hold the plot secondary to the Character development. As far as watching characters change over time, no show is currently doing it better than Jericho. The current status of the story keeps me watching religiously on Wednesdays. Mayor Dad still rocks.
LOST came back from what almost killed the whole series for me (the Jack/Sawyer/Kate fiasco) to being one of my favorites again. Last week's Sun episode was fantastic. In fact, the Hurley episode with the beer and the van was probably one of my favorite episodes of that show ever!
Bullrun is still fun to watch! Both of my teams are still in it (Charger and F-150), and Trans-Am is kicking ass. All good things! Now the Lotus is the only import left in the race, and they're goin' down! I can't believe the Oldsmobile has made it this far, though.
I caught the Simpsons last night. I can't say it's great, but it was watchable, which is more than I can say for...
Family Guy. The new episode was not only the worst of the series, but utterly unwatchable. They pretty much threw any semblance of political neutrality out the window just to make Bush jokes. The bad thing was, they weren't even funny. At least Jon Stewart can get quality laughs out of GWB, this show just plain sucked, and then at the end, it got preachy. Family Guy may have jumped the shark...I'll give it one more chance.
Thank God You're Here is a very, very cheap "Whose Line" clone, only it makes use of really only one Whose line game. Though it does have some quality laughs to it, none of the performers so far could hold a candle to Brad Sherwood, much less Colin, Wayne or Ryan.
Drive is well worth watching. I don't have time to keep up on the series, but after seeing two episodes, it's definitely one that I want to see in its entirety. I may download this one at some point. Has anyone got to see more of it yet?
Boston Legal is still funny, but not as entertaining as Bull Run, so it loses Tuesday nights.
Thursday is comedy. I like My Name is Earl (Not overly witty, but creative), and The Office is possibly my favorite comedy to come out in...well, maybe ever. I bust a gut everytime I watch it.
Glenn Beck's show has been amazing...remember that Wednesday night is his Global Warming special! Who'd have ever thought I'd religiously watch a CNN channel and barely touch Fox News? Shenanigans!
So what're you watching? |

I agree with you on Heroes, Jericho, LOST & Bullrun (although I want the Charger, Trans-AM & F-150 to be in the final & anyone of them can win but I'd prefer the Charger!)
I'm of course watching SG-1 with Ry & they are just as good the second time. Atlantis continues to be the awesome so that makes me happy. I of course listen to Glenn every monrning & usually catch his show too. He does quality work and I'm even going to the Inconvient Tour on 6/8 when he comes to Cbus...w00t.
I don't watch the other stuff you mentioned. I do watch Dog the Bounty Hunter & Deadliest Catch. I try to catch Impact every week too but stay away from WWE stuff cuz....it sucks. I guess thats it. _________________

MONDAYS
I either watch Heroes on teh intarwebz or on Friday nights (Sci-Fi). This week will be intarwebz week since I won't be home Friday night. Definitely the best show on TV right now!!
But, I still watch Raw on Mondays. Yeah, it's pretty much sucked for the past couple months, but last night, aside from the very end of the show, was very solid, very entertaining and had some GREAT wrestling. Edge vs. Orton to lead off the show was a fantastic match, and very nearly turned Orton face. In fact, I think part of his "punishment" for wrecking the hotel room will be to turn him face, since he seems to be uncomfortable in the role. Last night, though, he was getting some LOUD "Randy" chants! Melina/Victoria vs. Mickie/Candace was a great main event (I refuse to call the last "match" a main event). Mickie and Melina really know how to tear it up in there and make it look hard-hitting. Best women's match since Trish was in WWE.
TUESDAYS
Deadliest Catch at 9, then Bullrun at 10. Go Team Trans-Am! Deadliest Catch is even more engaging this year.
WEDNESDAYS
Jericho is awesome. Mayor Dad is THE MAN... I never thought Skeet Ulrich would/could do TV, but he's doing a great job as Jake. I compare Jericho to LOST -- the difference being there's less mystery (but still plenty) and more character development.
I've started watching Criminal Minds after Jericho on CBS. I really like it. Mandy Patinkin and a talented cast star as FBI profilers.
LOST has pulled me back in... I wasn't liking the show for the same reasons as Damin, but as soon as they got Julia involved more and the mysteries started back up at a fever pitch, I can't wait to watch every week.
THURSDAYS
This is the night when I watch very little TV, aside from maybe American Chopper, which I still love. Once in a while I'll catch The Office, and I love it every time, but I always forget to watch it. It's one of those shows you want to get on DVD because it's a whole new way of making comedy on TV. I predict plenty of copycats on down the road...
I usually just catch the TNA Impact replay on the weekend, if I remember to watch.
FRIDAYS
Heroes at 7pm (if I'm home), then the first hour of Smackdown, since it's been outperforming Raw for several weeks now. If it's good enough, I'll watch both hours and catch the Stargate Atlantis repeat at midnight. I haven't been watching SG-1 because lame-ass Sci-Fi is the main reason they're ending it. I do watch Atlantis, because it will now need all the ratings it can get to survive. I'm still enjoying it, though. Looks like there are some major developments coming this season.
I've also been watching Painkiller Jane at 10pm on Sci-Fi for three main reasons:
1) Kristanna Loken
2) it's an interesting concept and they seem to be pulling it off well, and
3) Kristanna Loken.
Damin - don't get too attached to Drive. Fox cancelled it after TWO episodes. I don't even think they'll be showing the remainder, but I could be wrong. I was lookin forward to watching it because Nathan Fillion (Mal from Firefly) was on it, but damn.. poor guy can't catch a break, it seems. Well, other than being in one of the best Sci-Fi films ever made.
I don't watch Boston Legal anymore, and strangely enough, I don't miss it. Alan Shore was getting way too enviro-conspiracy liberal for me. I honestly think the show's writer channels himself through Alan. He's become a less likeable character as the show has matured. Not even The Shatner can get me to go back to that show these days, and that's saying something!!
I also don't watch Adult Swim much anymore. Aside from ATHF, there's nothing good on it anymore. They cancelled the good stuff like Harvey Birdman, and STILL show the Futurama reruns, which I'm tired of. Haven't been missing much from Family Guy lately either, it sounds like.
I watch Glenn Beck whenever I can. I'm definitely watching the global warming episode tomorrow night!
Other shows I like to watch if I'm flipping around:
Made in America (Travel Channel) hosted by John Ratzenberger
Mythbusters -- those guys are still doing kickass stuff!!
Dog the Bounty Hunter -- once in a while
Dog Whisperer -- once in a great while _________________

I don't really keep up on Mythbusters (or Dirty Jobs), but if I'm ever around on Saturday afternoons, I catch up.
Unfortunately, I haven't been home on Saturday since...early March!
It sounds like the 3 of us have similar Bullrun favorites. I would love to see Ford, Trans-Am, and Charger be the last 3, not only because I like the vehicles, but because they're the coolest (most normal) people in the bunch.
Personally, I'm really rooting for the F-150, more for novelty sake. Either of the other two teams winning is a-ok with me.
On another note, It bugged me that all the imports were driven by freakin' retards. My favorite car in the competition was the Lotus, and the Civic should totally be towards the front of the pack given durability, handling, and fuel mileage - Idiot drivers/navigators make me just want to see those cars crushed, though. |

Nice!
I gotta say, I really enjoyed watching team Lotus tonight. They had a great strategy, and were incredibly funny in the first leg. I'm a bit amazed that the Oldsmobile pulled it out again...they have more lives than the Chevy beaners did
All they gotta do to make our final three happen is ditch that Olds...but those guys seriously have an angel on their shoulders. |

I hated team Lotus, glad to see them go. I knew their plan would backfire when I found out they weren't going for the time bonus.
Their car might be the best-handling vehicle ever made, but that doesn't make up for moronic navigators
Mike Alsop from team Trans-Am posts on a messageboard that I've been going to for a long time over at LS1.com. He's a funny guy. His daughter Morgan does weekly show reviews on YouTube. She's hawt. _________________

I LOVE Dirty Jobs, but its not on now cuz of Deadliest Catch.
Bullrun: Team Lotus is the worst team, worse than the girls that left on episode 1. Why? They are the 2 biggest idiots on planet Earth. Yup, really.
The Lotus can out perform every car in the rally & yet, they failed...many times. Glad to see them go.
The Mario Brothers are just morons. Their car is kool but they suck. Now, they have a chip on their shoulder because the Charger guys put them in the challenge against the Lotus. WHO CARES?! ITS A GAME YOU MORON! PLUS, PLUS! They didn't go home...so cry some more. If they would have done that to some other team (like the Mr. Angry) then they would have laughed about it....pathetic cry baby liberal mario brothers. They need to go next Tues & then I can REALLY enjoy the show no matter what happens after that. _________________

Tonight's episode of Jericho was AWESOME
The claws are coming out and that show is really becoming something to look forward to. I really hesitate to say this, but I think I'm looking as forward to Jericho's finale as Heros. |

After seeing the preview for next week, I'm terrified that we might lose Mayor Dad... I know those previews are tailored to make us think one thing when another actually happens, but still..
I'm referring to the part where we hear someone say "people are going to look to YOU now" and they show a picture of Jake. For all we know, it could be Gray Anderson who kicks the bucket and someone's saying that to Mayor Dad... but whatever happens, it sounds like some people's gonna die. _________________

CRAP!! I missed Glenn Beck's global warming show last night... I got some hardware supplies at Krogers (yeah, sounds weird) and was on a crusade to fix every squeaky door, drawer and window in the apartment. I was 100% victorious, but I forgot all about Glenn. _________________

Glenn's special was very good, although most of it was really nothing new to me. It would really be an eye-opener for a global warming disciple, though...if they believed. |
