This is primarily for Adam, I got SvR 2008 for PS3. You can come over an play it anytime you like, but Alex currently only has 1 controller. I'm going to get another one, but probably not soon. It doesn't look much better than 07, though. The 24/7 mode has a LOT of really cool features, but the storylines are worse than TV...seriously. Here's a timeline of my character's career so far:

As soon as I joined RAW, I got to fight for #1 contender to the WWE title.
I won, and became #1 contender.
I entered a program competing against Carlito, Nitro, and Roddy Piper (!) to star in a movie.
I lose the payoff fatal 4 way ladder match to Piper.
Candice broke up with Masters (!) and decided to "get with" Schizm.
Tommy Dreamer invades RAW.
I fight off Dreamer, and several other ECW stars.
Kenny and Nitro join up with me.
A match is made, Me, Orton and Nitro against 2 ECW stars.
Kenny calls me to say he can't make it to RAW (um...okay...)
The match is held: Me and Orton against 3 ECW stars.
Candice wants me to meet in her hotel room.
Masters joins forces with me.
Lashley ambushes 4 people in one episode of RAW.
Dreamer says he's done invading.
I lose a match to Lashley due to a game glitch.
Lashley pummels me after another match.
Coach tells me that I hate Kenny Dykstra.
I fight Kenny once.
Lashley is still here somewhere...
Torrie breaks up with Masters, and wants to "get with" Schizm.
Stephanie returns to RAW
Stephanie sics Batista on me.
I beat Batista.
Stephanie leaves RAW.
Masters fights with me over Torrie.
I take on Masters, with Torrie.
Coach names me #1 contender (WTF, aren't I already???)
I fight Orton for the title at Cyber-Sunday and win.
Torrie wants me to help her party.

And that's where I currently sit. Given how horribly non-linear the story seems to be progressing, I doubt I'll even be the champion once my current storyline ends...not to mention the fact that they completely skipped any hint at all of the IC title, not to mention the tag belts.

But hey...who cares about them anyway?

Really just sounds like they loaded a bunch of events and wrote the game code to roll a die.

Wow thats messed up, mine wasn't nearly as bad. Involved different people though. But the SvR games are just losing their touch. I have this one for PS3 also basically the game I got with mine. I just couldn't get in to it. Now the Smackdown game that Damin made everyone on was the best one I can remember. I think it was Here Comes the Pain!

HCTP remains the best of the franchise, and no other even comes close!

Seriously, how much fun is it to feud with Dana over the affections of Chesty McBoob? Or get into a 4-way title chase with Darth Maul, Greg Reynolds, and Strong Bad?

Just letting CAW's into season mode was good. Actually having storylines involving the midcard titles was great!

I do like all the RPG elements of 2008, but they're overshadowed by a VERY humdrum storyline. Also, perhaps the greatest annoyance of the last 3 SvR games is limiting divas to only competing in simple matches. Seriously...can you not code Mickie James to be able to fight in the elimination chamber?

I know it seems like a minor point, but it bugs me greatly.
