Has anyone played around with the new OS yet? Thought about getting it in a few months when I try to build a new comp and just wanted to know if I should drop the few hundred to get it. _________________ Είναι όλα τα ελληνικά σε με

I would say HELL NO for that reason alone!
Damin's laptop came with it and he hasn't mentioned any problems, but still... damn. _________________

Dodd, my advice would be to only get Vista if you are buying a new computer as well. Vista is standard now, and really costs very little when installed on a new computer.
XP is still good for running everything that's currently coming out, and probably will still for at least a year.
Vista is an excellent step up for windows, although from what I understand most programs still don't take advantage of all that Vista has to offer. Oh, and you want 2 GB of RAM to run it...seriously. |

I will stay that I didn't want Vista at first. But found have helping Ryan with it on 2 computers that minus the changes to where everything is, it actually runs very nicely on most computers. I will say "most" being gaming computers. I would think it would have problem on a slower computer.
All in all it is should turn out to be a nice OS. _________________ "Never fear, I is here!"
