Yeah, a tad bored. Wanted to post this pic:
Pretty awesome stuff. He's perfect for that title. Too bad it doesn't mean what it used to. The match for the title wasn't great either. Oh well, MAYBE they'll do something with him...but I doubt it. ECW is still dead.
Here are 3 reasons that the World Heavyweight Championship (old WCW title) SUCKS!
#3 Worst Reason:
You gotta love Rey. He's impressive! Er, well, he used to be at least. Giving him the WH title was dumb. They missed a great opportunity to have him chase the title for a couple of years. Those are better stories than giving it to the tiny dude. I respect Rey for what he's done but a World title just doesn't fit him...especially with the word "HEAVYWEIGHT" in the titles name.
#2 Worst Reason:
Nuff said there. Impressive to look at due to his size but worthless in the ring and on the mic.
#1 Worst Reason the WH (WCW) title sucks!
What's worse than giving it to the tiny guy who is unbelievable as Champ? or the big talentless turd? Yup...a celebrity!
Seriously...this title HAS had some good champions (Dusty, Ric, Rock, Kurt, Sting, Vader & TONS others) but when you give it to these type of guys as well....then you DEGRADE it. Also, handing it to HHH on RAW & declaring him Champ degrades it as well. That title is cursed.
So onto something TOTALLY different. What 3 wrestlers are your favs right now? Which three keep you locked to the screen the WHOLE time they are on. Which three just make you happy to be a wrestling fan?
Mine are:
#3 Samoa Joe - Increadible for his size. Good on the mic but not captivating...his in ring work makes up for it.
#2 Kurt Angle - Yup. Kurts one of the BEST on the mic. Makes ya laugh and want to hate him. In the ring he's not quite as good as he used to be but he can still put on a clinic when he needs to.
#1 Christian Cage - Awesome on the mic and still great in the ring. I love to watch him.
Yeah so my guys are all fron TNA. Why? Well...a wrestler isn't a wreslter if he can't wrestle. WWE guys can wrestle, yes but they arn't ALLOWED. How can they with that schedule?! So if they arn't giving good matches then they can't be in my top 3...sorry. TNA gives me the whole package.
Ok enough from me. Just wanted to talk a little rasslin. _________________

I thought the Punk/Morrison match was pretty good. A couple sloppy moves from Morrison, but the crowd was REALLY into it at the end. The near-falls had them on their feet by the end.
Morrison, for all his ring ability, is BORING on the mic. His character is good, but when he talks, I snore. His delivery sounds too forced and too rehearsed. He needs to learn to just "be" the character instead of "act" the character. I don't get the impression that the Morrison character is an extension of his personality. It seems more like a role he decided to play because he likes the Doors or something.
My top 3 faves today are:
#3: Balls Mahoney -- the dude cracks me up, and they actually have him in a storyline for a change. He's really getting over with the crowds and you don't have to worry about loading up LoP and reading that Balls is on steroids, lawl.
#2: Deuce & Domino -- these guys have a great gimmick and they put 110% into it. They're also fun to watch in the ring and are great on the mic. Dunno if they lost the titles to Hardy & MVP because of the drug scandal or not, since they weren't on the list that was made public, but they'll be back in the spotlight soon.
#1: "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal -- DIG IT! DANGER ZONE YEAH! _________________

I agree that Morrison is boring on the mic. He does need to become a character that he's comfortable with.
Balls rules and I like his story but I stand firm that until the WWE lets their guys have good matches consistantly (meaning slowing down their rediculous schedule) then they just can't be the best IMO.
Deuce & Domino are great too. Their gimmick is a little cheesy but it works. I like Cherry a lot too because she is the classic valet which no one is anymore. Well that Voodoo chick in TNA is but she sucks. Again, they can't have awesome matches 'cause there are no other tag teams on SD.
& Jay Letahal is deffinetlly ONE OF MY FAVS YEAH! However, they've not been using him as much. He's rarely on TV & his promos are even more scarce. Not sure whats up with that. He's in my top 10 FOR SURE. _________________

Jay had a great promo last night with Abyss (B-7! BINGO, YEEAH!), but you probably TIVO'd it & haven't watched it yet. He was also in the main event w/ Sting, Abyss and Kurt and has a match vs. Kurt at the PPV for the X-Div. title. Now that the Black Machismo character is in high gear, I see them giving him the belt at the PPV. _________________

that'd be nice for him to get the belt. Course last time he got the belt they took it from him a week later & gave it to Joe, then Kurt. So....there's that. _________________

/agree on the WHW title
I don't think CM Punk is ready for the ECW title, frankly. It was poor booking to put it on a face so early in that face's career. It helped Nitro, but I think it'll hurt Punk. With faces, it's all about the chase, and Punk didn't chase long enough (see Cena). I think Nitro should have gone on to defend against maybe Dreamer and someone else, before returning to a program with Punk and him finally winning it. Of course, the suspension left them little other option, but I still don't like Punk as champ right now.
My top 3 wrestlers right now:
3) Sonjay Dutt - This man is absolutely AMAZING! His character is passable, but his in-ring work is perhaps the best in the business right now, even better than Joe and Angle!
2) TWGTT - They prove every week that not only are they individually two of the most gifted wrestlers in the world, but they are THE BEST tag team out there, period. I'd take them over the Hardys or Dudleys any day as far as in-ring work goes.
3) Ken Kennedy - When you've got it all, you've got it all, and he certainly does. Despite not having a real story going right now, he's still one of the prime reasons that I turn on RAW. Hopefully the suspension doesn't hurt him too much. |

I like those guys too Damin but again...WWE doesn't count to me 'cause of their mediocre matches. Kennedy is by far my fav in the WWE but even his matches are lame most of the time. Sonjay is great but I put Angle up higher due to his over all character and same with Joe.
AJ vs Sonjay vs Joe would be a hell of match. Me likey!
oh & I luv TWGTT (even though I still hate their name) but tag team wrestling in the WWE is like women's wrestling in TNA.
oh...and I totally disagree about Punk. His time for a title reign...as a sign of apreciation for being the ECW work horse for a year. Morrison is bland in character and should NEVER have been champ. Titles not only build up guys but they are REWARDS for the hard working ones as well. Punk has plenty of options to defend against for 2-5 months then drop it to someone else. Course ECW is a joke in my view...just like SD. RAW is pretty close behind & then TNA a bit of distance behind that. Wrestling is just meh. I wished I wasn't a wrestling fan 10 years ago...I've been spoiled. _________________

You were a wrestling fan 20 years ago too, correct? I'd argue it's at least as good as that still...but I won't go into that.
The situation with Punk was an unfortunate turn of events. Had all worked out properly, Benoit was probably going to be the ECW go-to guy, and Punk would have worked with him (prob. with Benoit as heel). With that messed-up crap, we were left with him feuding with the only other big, legitimate heel on the show, Nitro. Out of the two, who needed the most push? Obviously Nitro, hence the title win. I still think it was a good idea to have him keep retaining. Mind you, I'm NOT a fan of the Morrison character, but a guy's gotta learn. Not everyone can be Isaac Yankem, d.d.s.
I'm starting to tire of TNA's spotfests. Thanks to guys like Angle & Cage, they're finally getting some psychology, but that's the only reason I don't put Chris Daniels, A.J. Styles, Black Machismo, etc. into my top spots. As far as overall entertainment goes, the midcarders of WWE whoop them (not to say they're more talented, b/c they're probably not).
I love that TNA isnt' the same 5 moves of doom all the time, but the lack of selling grinds on me after a while. |

I honestly think TNA does the spot fest because they have so little time on their show. The seem to act more natural on PPV's and guys really sell stuff. That may not be all of it but I think its some of it.
I'm glad they don't kill their guys like WWE does with a show every night (or close to it). The human body needs to rest and recover after all that abuse. Vince is a moron for not understanding or not caring. I record WWE & fast forward through most of the shows because they are so incredible boring. I really do try to watch but take RAW last night for example. I watched the Hornswoggle thing. I watched Mickies match but had to fast forward some due to Jillian sticking up the place. I watch Triple H vs The Invisible Boy. I watch Santino give his promo & then in the back but his match with Sandman was lame. I fast forwarded everything else. Their shows are just boring. _________________

So WWE released Sandman today.
He obviously hurt his ankle or knee pretty bad when he went to jump to the middle turnbuckle in his match against Santino. He was limping heavily later that night when he came down to the ring for the Great Revealing.
I'm disappointed, since he's really been getting over with the crowds, but I gotta admit -- the dude acts like he can barely walk these days. Injuring his knee was probably the last straw, since he really can't pull off basic moves anymore without looking like he's gonna fall over.
Still, it'd be fun if they made him a backstage-only character and would show up to beat people with his kendo stick. Maybe Faarooq could run in and go "DAMN!" and then Sandman shows up with a WHACK to the forehead. Something. _________________

According to LOP, the injury didn't even have anything to do with it. Not sure what did, though. |

You can believe even LESS of what you read on LOP now. They got Daniel Pena back as a news poster. He posts more lies than the National Enquirer.
Frankly, I'm just about done with wrestling "news" sites. Even LOP. They're all heresay and very little substance. They post outright lies about the wrestlers and there is a definite negative slant to their "reporting." One has to wonder why they would be so negative toward the industry that their little escapades are based on. Maybe they're just idiots.
I don't even read the columns anymore. 90% of them say what I already know, and the 10% that don't are just plain bad writing. _________________

I've been done with LOP & every other wrestling news site for about two months now. Not only do you not read anything new or interesting there but they just post stuff (if its true or not) just to post.
The fact that they reported Sandman being fired for OTHER reasons then his injury PROVES they are worthless. They can join the NY TIMES in the worthless news entities club. _________________
