Obviously, this thread will contain spoilers for those not up-to-date on the show. Don't say I didn't warn you.

I just wanted to get a bit of discussion going on the show. I believe it to be far and away the best show on television right now. After being held totally captive by yesterday's episode, I wanted to do a point-by-point breakdown, along with some predictions.

First off, I absolutely love that each episode has been focusing on one part of the story instead of aimlessly jumping around. Of course, it's easier now that so many of the stories are interwoven, but I was concerned when the series started that it was going to overload, so this is a good sign.
Now the characters...

Peter - I think they're going to make Peter into the "big hero" of this season. As such, I'm not entirely sure that he'll even remain a consistent cast member for long, as I can see them potentially killing him off. The idea that he can use other people's powers anytime he wants is, essentially, overpowered. As long as Suyler is out there, Peter can exist, but he has to have an utterly devastating enemy to warrant his existence at all.

Nathan - Peter's flying brother. I'm banking on him becoming the "legit backer" of some kind of organization or team. Of course, it would require a severe change of character, but I think Claire showing up, and Peter dying would both accomplish that.

Claire - Last night's episode was the best one to date, easily. Claire's story with her father and the Haitian is fantastic. Obviously, it looks like she'll run to her mother...but where to go from there?

Claire's Father - Easily the most interesting non-super character, it's pretty evident that he's just a good guy led astray. I believe he'll become the "man on the inside" as the heroes figure out that this organization is their "real" enemy.

Parkman - It looks like Parkman will become the partner of Claire's father (can't remember...his...name!) I think this is a great role for him, as he's one of those characters that you really root for. He's got more to lose than most of the other characters, so it'd be nice to see him get a little stability.

Suresh - Finally he's interesting. Going around meeting new supers is a perfect plotline for him. I predict he'll be the key to bringing them all together, eventually.

Suyler - The perfect antithesis of Peter, except that he has to kill to take someone's powers. I would honestly keep him in the background for a while, and make him a huge focal point of the second season, but it's hard to tell what they'll do with him.

Hiro - Hiro is funny and endearing, but it's his past (and his family) that are really starting to get interesting.

Invisible Guy - I don't recall his name, but last night's episode really brought to light some interesting story from his perspective. He's kind of a wildcard.

As for everyone else, I'm pretty bored. Isaac is an alright character, and the interaction with Peter is good, but I find it really hard to actually care about him. As for Niki, DL and Micah...I honestly wouldn't care if they dropped them from the show altogether. Their powers are really cool, but the "family drama" aspect really drags down an otherwise captivating show. I've definitely been happy not to see them every week.

Aye, that be it. I can tell that Heroes is on the right track because I really can't predict right now what will happen at the end of this story arc.

Its great. Stan Lee was on, I laughed.

Mr. Bennet is Claire's father's name. I don't believe his first name has been said but he is one of my favorite characters because he is complex and new things are being revealed. Claude is the invis man (Christopher Eccleston AKA The Doctor). I like him a lot maybe I'm biased cuz I liked him as the Doctor. His character is kewl tho. The family drama with Niki & Jesica & DL & Michah is boring. I'm pretty sick of it but it could turn around since they are involved with Linderman who is on next week. However, all this said...the best part of last weeks was Hiro's dad giving orders to the organization that Mr. Bennet works for. Does he run it or is he just another player?! That jumped out at me big time.

I'm really lovin' the show tho. I pretty much agree with all Damin said tho.
