NEWSFLASH!

Star Trek Online has entered closed beta as of TODAY, the 22nd.

Surely at least one of us will be able to get in!

I signed up for the Beta when they first announced taking apps for it (as I'm sure many of you did as well) so now its down to waiting eagerly by the e-mailbox hoping for the good news to come!

Yeah, faster than I thought it was going to happen. I am not going to say I'm going to stop playing EVE until I learn that STO is better (so basically, not until the 30 day initial month runs out).

If it is even mildly better, though, it will be great to at least play a game with EVERYONE again.

Oh, on that, Borderlands is a lot of fun, but we definitely need more players.

Obviously, there are gonna be some ships that are better for different classes ... the video makes it look like you can turn a Constitution-class into some kind of gunship for the 25th century but I doubt it'll be more than a decent support ship. A Defiant-class, though, would make a super DPS ship, since it's basically Starfleet's version of a hot rod. Little ship, big engines, big shields, and big GUNS!

I still want to see a comprehensive list of all the starship classes that'll be available... I hope there are a ton. I really want to get me a Galaxy-class, since they're my favorite of all. I imagine it would classify as a cruiser.
