So a guys at work gave me this link.

seem interesting. They have a long way to go to get the Star Trek idea of "Transparent aluminum"
but it is an interesting start.

Yes, Dana I did check the amount of time. that is also why I used "" around the statement "Transparent aluminum" because this isn't actually the same thing, but it is an interesting start to making that possible.

I heard about this a few years ago. The military as researching it to use as new windshields on the hummers and other vehicles.
