So I was reading the SIH board today, and someone posted that he reinstall hellgate: london on a new system. He went looking for updates/patches for it on the internet, and it is gone. The company that made the game has completely shut it down... no online play, no support, no nothing.
I agreed with his comment about sucks to be the people to paid for life-time play. _________________ "Never fear, I is here!"

Yeah, I saw a lot of stuff on this in December. For various reasons the company had to let go of a lot of staff, and what remained couldn't support the product or the company, so they got bought out by another company. The new company is continuing to develop and support Hellgate, but only for Korea. I remember getting an email from them letting me know that they were closing shop in January (though they were letting everyone play the subscription content for free until then).
For such an awesome concept, they sure jacked that game up royally.
I would be more disappointed, but Diablo 3!, so who freaking cares *shrug*
/yeah, sucks to be a life-subscriber.
//they didn't even release a single-player patch to add subscription content before shutting down.
///no wonder they went under. _________________
