Sorry gang, but I've made a personal pact with my desk (which has suffered from repeated fist-thrashings) not to mess with EA unless absolutely necessary. Spore was the final straw (I rebought it on Steam so that all my money spent on expansions would go there instead...yeah, I was THAT pissed off).

Long story short...you guys tell me if I need to buy it. I won't be a guinea pig on this one. Cool

I have signed up for mine - I thought this one looked good when I first read about it, even though they are obviously copying TF2's graphics and feel.

And yeah Damin, this one is supposed to be free, though I don't know how they are paying for it (just giving it away/in game advertising/i dunno *shrug*).

Though I totally understand the EA thing. Their DRM crap is stupid and I wouldn't be inclined to buy their games unless they are on Steam either ('s why I didn't buy Spore until it was released on Steam. And I had no idea it would be either, I just figured I'd never be able to buy it).

I agree that EA is crap but yeah Damin, its a free game.

I believe its going to be paid for through advertising in game. I'm trying it.

Got my BETA key & tried it out. Its kinda fun. I have a lvl 3 Commando (sneaky class) for the Nationals (the bad guys) & a lvl 2 Gunner (heavy ammo) for the Royals (the good guys)

Its interesting. Its really fast and its fun but its not as fun as BF2. Its still a BETA though so maybe more will be added. I like the option of having to purchase upgrades through XP. Also, stuff that you purchase only lasts so long and then you have to buy them again. Thats kinda neat and the best part is that its free.

I'll keep trying it out to see if it gets really fun at higher levels.
