Actually, they did totally reveal Wolverine's entire backstory recently...a point which Alex thinks is pretty retarded (I'm inclined to agree). That doesn't mean the movie will be good, mind you, but there really is nothing left to the mystique of his character, comic book wise.
Gambit will undoubtedly be done horridly wrong, though if memory serves he actually DID have something to do with Wolverine's backstory. He wasn't around Weapon X, mind you, but there were paths crossed, I'm pretty sure.
I am glad to see that Logan's age is approximately correct, as he is shown fighting in WW2...he always was supposed to be the oldest X-Man, even older than Xavier.
I put this in the same category as the new Star Trek. I'm not going to see it in theatres, but I'll watch it evetually. |

Revealing Wolverine's mystery's is lame. It IS his mystique.
He seems to be born sometime in the 1700's as shown as a child then going through the Civil, WWII & Nam.
I don't know. I'm not passing on it in theaters. Seems too rash to do that. I'm just not gonna get my hopes up for much better than the X-Men movies themselves...which still hack me off. _________________

It seems like they're only now really tapping into how to make comic book movies well. Even X-Men missed the mark by a wide margin, but was at least good enough to be entertaining.
I think they finally realized that a little continuity goes a long way, and most characters don't need much altering to be acceptable to movie audiences. Spider Man, Iron Man, Hulk, and Batman are all great examples of this. Even Fantastic Four did well in this respect, and probably only did more poorly than the others because it was a bit more child-friendly.
I almost think that X-Men could use another reboot. This obviously isn't going to happen, as they also have a Magneto movie in the works (yeah, seriously), but the X series will likely forever be the comics that we never see properly brought to life.
Of course, this could also be the case because the X-Men by themselves don't make compelling movie characters without INTENSE back-story depth. |

I, personally, cannot wait for the magneto movie. While I was never a huge fan of his, his presence made people scared. When people would say his name it was almost as if they were praying he wasnt near by to hear them. He is easily the best super villain that Marvel has made to date. I just hope they dont mess this movie up. _________________ Why run? You'll only die tired.

Yeah X-Men could use a reboot. I was disappointed with the trilogy big time. X-Men is my favorite comic book group of people & yes, with 40 years of stories & character development on a lot of them, they are movie ready.
I've heard the Magneto movie was put on hold for crazy reasons. Its supposed to take place a lot with him in the concentration camp as well so we'll see about that. Perhaps the X series of movies will develop into something good with telling stories such as Colossus, Shadowcat, Jubilee, Syrin, Emma Frost, who knows who.
I just wish I could go back in time & be on those projects & make them write.
The new wave of comic book movies are why I'm seeing the Wolverine film. They've proved they can do it right now, so lets keep it up Marvel & Marvel Knights is obviously producing awesome stuff. I'd say DC but I'm pretty sure they don't have their own film company like Marvel does now. _________________

Yeah, I'm with you - Magneto is awesome and I want to see this movie.
And if it ends up being a bad movie I may have to start blowing stuff up to vent my mighty anger. _________________
