Incase y'all forgot that I did movie reviews...
http://www.cheatmasters.com/blog/category/general/movie-talk/
That is where they get posted. I remind everyone on my XANGA as well. I also review DVD's on my XANGA. Those don't get posted on the cheatmasters site. So be checking my XANGA regularly for movie reviews and other stupid stuff...or not stupid stuff. It depends on the day honestly.
That is all. Resume cake eating (& no, it isn't a lie) _________________

BTW...
I've got a few movies to see if anyone chooses to join me. Sadly, until my work schedule changes, I see my movies during the day. After Christmas that may change.
The Day the Earth Stood Still
The Tale of Despereaux
The Wrestler
Yes Man
Valkyrie
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
The Spirit
Frost/Nixon _________________

I want to see The Day the Earth Stood Still...pretty much all the others will be dl's for me, I think.
Honestly, there are several there I've never heard of! |

The Day the Earth Stood Still
Meh, more hippie/environmentalist posturing. See the original instead. That'll throw the Cheatmaster gang for a loop!
The Tale of Despereaux
Haven't heard of that one.
The Wrestler
Yes, definitely want to see this!
Yes Man
Jim Carrey finally decides to do another comedy. I predict it will be better than Dick and Jane, but nothing beats Ace Ventura crawling out of a fake rhino's ass in front of children.
Valkyrie
Might be good, despite Tom Cruise. This one is definitely a download for me.
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
All I know about this is that Brad Pitt plays a person who starts life looking like an old man and appears younger as he ages. Might be interesting.
The Spirit
When Sin City came out, I really really wanted to see it in a theater. I never got around to it. When I finally watched it on DVD, I was glad I hadn't. I think this one will be the same, but I'm willing to give it a shot.
Frost/Nixon
Meh, Nixon is about as interesting as watching corn flakes get soggy in milk. Strangely, the corn flakes end up looking like him, in a way. Think of that at your next breakfast, monkeys! _________________

Brian and I just got back from seeing The Day the Earth Stood Still, it was pretty good. Some things seemed to be left open for too many questions but overall, it was a pretty good movie. Worth at least seeing in theaters. _________________ Είναι όλα τα ελληνικά σε με

most of those movies open Christmas day & my work hours should drop a ton so I'll have time. Dana, lets see the Wrestler.
I'd also like to remind y'all that I don't necessarily WANT to see some of those movies, I just go to see anything that is even mildly interesting to review it.
The only I WANT to see are the Wrestler, Valkyrie, Spirit. I'm not sold on any of the others, so I'll let ya know if they suck.
ALSO - feel free to give me requests to review. I keep up on the goings on of movies but its not my main job so I miss plenty of things. Like the Wrestler, I only heard about it last week! _________________

I loved the original "The Day the Earth Stood Still" when I was young and watched it - only reason why I would consider seeing the remake (even though I know they will trash it).
The rest of them - meh. Though I will say the graphics of the previews for The Spirit and different enough from normal movies that it could be worth seeing on a theater screen. Don't really know anything about the story though. _________________

watch the full trailer for the Spirit. It looks pretty neat.
I also need to add Taken to this list however, I'm not sure when it comes out.
I saw "The Day Hollywood Tried An Epic Message Movie" today. _________________

watched Day the Earth Stood Still tonight -- it was alright, well-produced, but they definitely changed the overall message from the first movie. Just as I thought, it was a big mother-earth propaganda piece. Thankfully it wasn't incredibly preachy, like "The Day After Tomorrow." Gort was really cool in this one, too. _________________
