K, so I just downloaded and started playing the demo for this game, and it's pretty freakin' cool! It's basically a Resident-Evil type game, where you gun down zombies in unnaturally large groups, however, there is added awesomeness!
Teamwork!
Aye, the game is up to 4 player co-op, and each of the 4 characters has their own different skills/guns. You can play co-op online even, and randomly join people to survive the onslaught!
I want to try at least the demo with some of you guys, so dl it! It works off the HL2 engine, and is free through Steam. I want to see if this would possibly be a good group game for us, as the teamplay aspect is really pretty cool. |

Okay, so I played it with computer teammates, and it was pretty sweet.
I just logged in and played the demo with 3 guys online, and it was freakin' awesome!
These zombies are so weird (some of them), and will leap out of nowhere, so everyone has to watch each other's backs. You can even get pinned by zombies, and only your teammates can save you! Plus, you can continually switch up weapons, trade health packs, pills, and explosives among the group, and of course, voicechat.
After a round, the game keeps track of everyone's stats, as to who killed the most, got the most headshots, healed the most, took the least damage, etc.
DL this demo, and we'll play...WOOT! |

Okay...Here's the coup de'grace...
Not 4, but 8 people can play at once...with the other 4 playing as the boss zombies!
Pure win...pure win indeed. |

I'm off this weekend, so maybe Fri., Sat., or Sun night 4 of us can try it out.
I just hope I have a computer by then...My desktop is pretty much a shiny paperweight right now. |

Actually, no. No throwing up at all. However, I had severe stomach pains every 10 minutes or so for 3 days. Yeah, it SUUUUUUUUUUUCKED! I'd rather be throwing up. _________________

Finally got to play this. In Todd's words, its "intense" but I loved it. However, I'm not able to drop money on games right now so spending that much for only 4 campaigns is a no go. I'll do the DEMO with you guys but no to the overall game.
However, closer to the New Years LAN, I may be able to afford it then & there may be more campaigns available, in which case I'll get it. We'll just have to wait & see.
Right now, it seems not many of us have a ton of time for CO-OP gaming & that sucks but oh well. Here's to New Years giving us the chance to shoot some ZOMBIES!!! _________________

Just bought F3, and let me tell you...I have no intention of finishing Oblivion. F3 is everything great Oblivion is, but done more/better/awesome.
Also, I'm in no hurry for L4D, since I'm playing F3. I WILL get it before New Year's, though, so anyone who wants to pony up some Christmas money to get it can play with me at the LAN. |
