In talking with Dan we decided it would be good to post some of the wonderful gems that my Dad drops from time to time. So here is the latest.

My hands shake. They pretty much always have. I handed my dad something and he said. "Good Lord boy your shakin like a dog shittin seeds"

Amberlynn and I recently celebrated our 8th anniversary. This reminds me of what my dad told me shortly before we got married. He said "Son when you get married one of two things is going to happen. Either you will be happier than you ever thought possible... Or you only THINK you know what misery is."

ya know, my Dad was never like this. Not sure why. My Grandfather was tho! & I KNOW I'll be like that...hell, I already am.

My mom was bugging dad to put up border in the living room. Exasperated he looked at mom and said "Woman why is it every time you get an idea it involves me doing work" LOL I swear at times my parents should have their own sitcom

I have to give another one. This one isn't funny but is no less profound. After a particularly bad relationship my dad once told me “I hate to say it but it’s true. The only way to truly appreciate a good relationship is to have experienced a bad one.”

It has been a while, but i have been busy. Now I will post one that is going to get me in trouble. LOL

One time I was trying to figure out my girlfriend as a teen. My dad asked me what I was doing, and I told him I was trying to make sense of her behavior. He told me “Stop trying son. You can not rationalize that which is not rational… and women are certainly not rational.”

He truly is a wise man. ROFLOL CAN I GET AN AMEN!!

man I am gonna be in SO much trouble for this one. LOL
