So you guys remember how I used to play the DotA mod for Warcraft 3, like, ALL THE TIME?

Well some of the creators of DotA have made a new game, League of Legends.

It is the same basic premise as DotA, but it is a standalone game. ONLY BETTER.

Now there is a persistent "level up" system for YOU, the guy actually summoning a champion. You have skill trees, and points you build up over time to recruit new heroes, reskin heroes (some reskins are pretty funny/cool too), and so far it is free.

Yeah, so great game...totally free...we could definitely have some cool times at a LAN with this. They've even developed a very solid 3v3 variant.

I love it as you gain more points you can unlock many more champions. You don't have to spend money, but if you want to you can. They also do a random set of champions so you can try them all.

You can still get a couple champions unlocked for free. You can get Tristana by liking LoL on Facebook, and you can get Cho'Grath if you sign up for an Alienware account.

I've come to find that I absolutely rip up with Ashe. Definitely seems to be my character.
