Maagic (my friend from Alabama) just spent a few hours downloading TF2 beta and sent me this email:

Sounds like TF2 isn't quite ready for release... hope they get that crap fixed before it does! With games these days, you never know...

Perhaps it's just not unpacking something correctly. Valve has been pretty good about releasing ready-to-ship games, so I'm still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

oh yeah, it'll be great. You can't expect a BETA to be perfect, no matter WHAT company releases it.
