Maagic (my friend from Alabama) just spent a few hours downloading TF2 beta and sent me this email:

Perhaps it's just not unpacking something correctly. Valve has been pretty good about releasing ready-to-ship games, so I'm still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. |
