Ok guys I'm having trouble finding a program that will allow me to continue to illegally download MP3s. Anyone have a program that works I can go get? _________________ Είναι όλα τα ελληνικά σε με

Limewire/Frostwire works. The selection isn't nearly as good as what Bearshare was, but they'll get most popular songs, and I've yet to have any problem with viruses, etc.
Another possible solution is getting MIRC (or a bit torrent program) and downloading entire albums, rather than individual MP3's.
/until the RIAA crumbles

I use Frostwire on the PC and the Mac. It's a flavor of Limewire. It can be a little weird sometimes -- if you search for a song and it brings up a list of a TON of users, but none of them download, I've found a little trick that works. Right-click one and choose "search by title <title>." That brings up a list of ones that will actually download.
I'm not sure why it does that... probably spoofers pretending to have files when they really don't.
Other than that, Frostwire is da bomb-diggity mah niggity!
My sister still has the OLD version of Bearshare on her computer, and she says it still works the way it used to. If you download the new version, it's a pay service now. _________________

I have the old version of Bearshare too, and it still works just the way it used to, but there are hardly any good quality files to be found anymore, and I started getting some infected/corrupted files here and there, too.
I'm betting they sabotaged the old system rather than shut it down completely, but I'm not comfortable using it anymore. |
