So I was just now watching Spike TV, and a commercial aired for TNA next Monday at 9 p.m.
They said:
"Next monday, when you want to satisfy your wrestling craving, that other network will be airing this..."
*cue cutesy scene of a chihuahua in the dog show*
I LOL'd. TNA may still suck, but God bless 'em, they're trying... |

I said it before and Ill say it again, the wrestling is very good, but the storylines suck. I would gather since they arent travelling all over they can do more risky stuff in the ring.

The pure wrestling is better, yes, but they have quite a ways to go on in-ring psychology yet. Nobody in TNA knows how to properly sell moves/inujuries, and it takes some of the realism out of the matches. Doing a corkscrew moonsault, followed by a frankensteiner, followed by a hurricanrana, followed by three moonsaults without breaking wind or slowing down in between is just overkill.
Hopefully the additions of Angle, Christian, and Sting will eventually help them with this, but I haven't seen a great deal of improvement yet. |

here we go....
WWE sucks. We all know it but we still follow it (me pretty losly lately cuz it is the ulitimate pewp product). TNA is the young upstart promotion that has everything to gain. I luv them for this. However, their product is terrible. The wrestling is spot on as Damin described. Its fun to tune in once & awhile & say "That was some awesome wrestling." Week in and week out its stale tho. The realism isn't there. They have a one hour show a week which is no time for anything in wrestling. They have the worst characters in wrestling. The only interesting ones are the WWE left overs. Everyone else is Bob "Random Guy" Jones who looks and wrestles like everyone else...BORING! THEN you have the announcers....WORST EVAR! Don West is a 10 packs a day smoker who yells at every move & Mike "I have two faces only" Tenay is a boob and a half for trying to make things SO IMPORTANT AND REAL that nothing is interesting. TNA needs just as much help as the WWE needs but they are 2 completely different problems. All of this has left me very sour toward watching wreslting. Don't get me wrong I'm still the biggest fan of all time. I love the sport for what it is. Great story telling in & out of the ring done by some of the best athletes on the planet. The fact that the only 2 big companies on television can have such bad products shocks me every time I watch a show. Dixie Carter needs a fresh start for TNA & the WWE needs the McMahons out of the picture. Since both of these will never happen I predict another piss poor year of wrestling for 2007. _________________
